The History of Hennig
From one-to-one, through many-to-one, and now many-to-many
1890
I Hennig is founded by Isidor Hennig in Ely Place, London.
1940
G Prins persuades Sir Ernest Oppenheimer to supply the Diamond Industry in Israel. The first diamonds from De Beers to the new Israeli industry are shipped through Hennig.
1960
Hennig clients are the first wave of Indian Sightholders to receive rough from De Beers.
1963
MJS Hatzor, is appointed as the first permanent Hennig representative in Israel.
1964
The Hennig New York office opens.
1970
The Hennig Antwerp office opens.
1990
Hennig celebrates its centenary.
1991
The Hennig Thailand office opens.
1992
The Hennig India office opens.
1998
DMCC, a Hennig group company opens a subcontract diamond polishing factory at Visakhapatnam in India.
2001
IHennig.com is launched.
2005
The Hennig South Africa office opens.
2007
The Hennig Botswana office opens.
2008
The Hennig Surat office opens.
2011
First tendering and online activities with affiliated companies Verichannel and Fusion Alternatives begin.
